TRAVEL GUIDES GENIUS

Editorial policy

How the publication approaches research, source selection, corrections, historical URLs and illustrative imagery.

A useful guide explains its decisions

Travel Guides Genius combines destination context with practical frameworks. Recommendations about trip length, pacing and packing are editorial suggestions. Binding rules, current access and booking conditions belong to the responsible authority or operator.

Source selection

Prefer primary sources for specific consequential claims: government entry guidance, airline conditions, attraction operators and official transport information. Tourism organizations help establish destination context, while independent resources can organize practical research. A promotional tourism description is not a neutral source for a territorial dispute or a substitute for safety advice.

Accuracy and uncertainty

Avoid unsupported prices, hours, statistics and guaranteed wildlife encounters. Where current information could not be established, omit a promise or identify the need for confirmation. Sources can disagree or contain errors; a link is a research trail, not a blanket endorsement of every statement on another site.

Historical destination paths

The Rodrigues, Dakhla and Georgetown guides retain three legacy URL paths. Direct retrieval failed during this build. An indexed Dakhla version provided a historical title and 17-activity outline. Complete original text for the other two guides and usable Wayback snapshots were not recovered. All three current guides are newly written replacements. No original publication date, historic author or ownership of old photographs is asserted.

Images and attribution

The site uses original generated editorial illustrations with photographic styling. Destination-inspired images are not documentary records of landmarks, wildlife sightings or present conditions. Captions make this distinction, and factual attraction coverage does not rely on an illustration as evidence.

Review and updates

Research was performed for this build, but no independent human editorial review or field testing is claimed. The operator should review the material before publication, especially schedules, entry requirements, access, safety and legal pages. Do not add a historical date or an automatic “last updated” label without a real corresponding editorial action.

Corrections

A correction should identify the page and statement, provide evidence and explain the issue. Material factual changes should be reflected in the text and, where appropriate, in a visible correction note. Do not silently replace a disputed claim with another unsupported claim. See contact for the available channel and setup status.

External references and commercial disclosure

The package includes requested contextual references to VenueGuideHQ, BaggageBase and BagPolicyGuide alongside primary sources. These are independent research resources, not official entry or transport authorities. No affiliate tracking parameters or advertising scripts are implemented in this package. The operator must disclose any actual ownership relationship, compensation, sponsorship or affiliate arrangement and apply appropriate link attributes when relevant.

Readers come first

No fabricated reviews, credentials, visits or interviews are used. A guide should help a traveler make a decision, even when the most useful recommendation is to shorten a route, skip an unsuitable activity or verify a detail before paying.
